In the summer of 2009, as part of its education outreach, The Atlanta Opera conducted a special opera workshop for pre-school and elementary students from the Center for the Visually Impaired.

Wade Thomas and Jim Zellers performed several opera excerpts after which the students crafted special instruments and had the chance to play with costumes and prop.

The joy on the faces of these students is palpable.
